Getting in the Groove

Well, we are finally getting into the groove of things. We had a rough couple of days because Caroline was growing so fast!! She couldn't get enough to eat and I couldn't give her food any faster! We supplemented with formula for a few days and I know when we go to the doctor on the 18th, she is going to weigh well over 10 pounds! She is just changing everyday and just smiling at both of us all the time.

Jeremy is back in school and getting back into his routine. This will be his last semester of classes before he student teaches in the Fall. He is getting anxious to graduate in December, but it will be here before you know it. He will graduate the day before Caroline's 1st birthday, so we will have a lot to celebrate!! He is set to take his state tests in February, March, and June, so pray for him as he goes into that. I know he is nervous, but I also know he will do just fine!

He is completely wrapped around Caroline's little, bitty finger....we are in TROUBLE!!! LOL He goes straight to work from school and isn't enjoying all the time he is missing with his little girl. When he gets home, he only has a couple of hours before her bedtime, but we are adjusting fine.

As for me, I have even ventured to the grocery store several times all by myself with her and we did great. I just don't know how to keep all those strangers from wanting to touch her hands!! Any suggestions would be appreciated!
I am scheduled to go back to work full time the last week of March. I am definitely not looking forward to it, but I've just set in my mind that I have to and am enjoying every bit of time with Caroline. I am still the Intersession coordinator for our school, so I have been working from home some on those duties....I don't know how people do that!! There are too many distractions.

1 Month Old!

It is so hard to believe that baby Caroline is already 1 month old! I never new time flew so fast when you became a Mommy. I also didn't know that you could possibly love someone so much until I became a Mommy!

In one month we have already had so many "firsts." The most exciting one is that Caroline has been sleeping 5 or 6 hours straight for the last 5 or 6 nights....I couldn't be happier! The first time it happened, we kind of freaked out because she had been INSISTING that she eat every 2.5 or 3 hours no matter what time of the day it was! It's a nice treat though. I have actually been showering while fully awake now!!

We thank God everyday for Caroline because she has been such a blessing to us! Please keep our new family in your prayers.

Hello everyone! We are setting up a blog to keep in touch with all of our family near and far! Check back often for updates. We love you all! Tomorrow Caroline will be ONE MONTH OLD!! I still just can't believe that much time has gone by. I will post her 1 month picture soon so that everyone can see how she has grown.
